On Sunday in children's church we talked about Abraham and how he had faith.  Abraham's name when God first revealed himself was Abram.  He was a pagan idol worshiper.  When God revealed himself to Abram and God spoke, Abram listened, believed and obeyed.  God told him to leave where he grew up and start traveling to a place promised by God.  God made a promise that he would bless Abram and his children.  According to Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen".  Abraham had assuranc
