WATCH YOUR MOUTH!! This week's Student & Parent Devotion

Watch what you say!!!!! Are you speaking life to someone or death? Do not be so quick with your words. Think it through…speak using wisdom!

Ephesians 4:29, 5:3-4
No rotten talk should come from your mouth, but only what is good for the building up of someone in need, in order to give grace to those who hear…But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed should not even be heard of among you, as is proper for saints. And coarse and foolish talking or crude joking are not suitable, but rather giving thanks.

Remember who you are. You are not your own any longer; you belong to the Most High King! Wherever you are or are going you bring the temple of your living God with you. Our life should represent the love of God. Ask Him daily to renew your mind and renew your heart for His purposes. If you find yourself in a situation and you probably will, where you know that the conversation is impure or headed that way try to turn the course of the conversation. Remember what we read out of James????

With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. 10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. This little member of our body is full of all sorts of evil

Our tongues are capable of setting fires. Practice some self-control this week!!! In Christ, you can do it.

Remember that without plugging yourself into the source, God’s word, you will be dull and ineffective. So…pick it up…pray…ask for wisdom…thank God…believe it and your faith will accomplish great things for God!

We pray for you always!
Much love in Christ
