Worship Service: Sunday 10:30am
Everyone Is Welcome
A.T.T.I.C. Sunday Nights
6:00pm - 7:30pm
A couple years ago while attending another church, Ada and I were going through a seaon in our walk when we were feeling unsure as to God's direction for us. While we knew that He is constant and loving, we wanted to be obedient to what His will was for us. To be honest, it was a challenge to go to church on Sunday morning. We visited a couple other churches and had some family services at home, but we knew that we needed to be connected with a body of fellow believers.
Around this time, Pastor Steve and his family had moved in across the street and we were getting to know each other. God placed it on my heart to visit ENS. So, we invited them over for dinner on a Saturday night and planned to visit their church the next morning. Ada commented when they left after dinner that I may not have cooked the pork long enough. So now I'm thinking that I've poisoned the Pastor's family and they will be laid up sick on Sunday. Thankfully, we all survived!
That was two years ago and I haven't looked back since. Through Pastor Steve's passionate, biblically based, expositional preaching, I have been challenged more and grown more in my faith over the last two years than I have since I was saved at 33.
I realized that God had called us to ENS for a purpose. Aftertalking with people at church, it is awesome to hear the stories of how God has led them here. I feel taht we have all been led here for a purpose. As we go through our spiritual gifts evaluations, we can ask ourselves, what is our purpose? How can we use our gifts that God has given us to strengthen the body and be obedient to Him in service and discipling others?
"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us." Romans 12:4-6
