Personal Thoughts

I was playing an intense match of ping pong w/ my son and getting ready for our sweet little girl's birthday party this afternoon. This little girl intersected with my family's life about six months ago through the Greenville County Foster care program. She has deeply touched our family's life with her presence in our home.

To be honest, at first I was very resistant to the idea of bringing on more responsibility to our BUSY schedule and that is why I took the time to sit at the computer for a few moments to share what God has taught me through this experience with this beautiful child.

Generosity!!

As i think about generosity, i am reminded that so much of the messages that come across our eyes and ears are ones that suggest to us to get all we can. Life, no matter your orientation toward God has the same struggle with our view toward materialism and where that line is that says we have enough!

Thoughts from 2 Corinthians 5 & 6

What amazing truths we were reminded of this past week as we work our way through the book of 2 Corinthians. I sit in a hotel room right now being reminded of the first point of the message on Sunday and that is that Christ was credited my sin and I was credited his righteousness (God makes sinners righteous) Amazing thought and truth!!! The theological term called Reconciliation describes the reality of the length God the Father went to repair the breach humanity experienced through sin and death.
