What an incredible journey God has allowed me to travel over the last few years of my life. My family and I have lived in Greenville SC for three and a half years now. Lisa, my wife and I have been married for 18 years and have three incredible children. We know that God has called us to Greenville to accomplish whatever His purposes are for us and His church at East North Street Church. We simply want to make His name great through our obedience to Him.
I feel that my spiritual gift is teaching for transformation in people's lives. I love to see other people grow and develop into leaders in God's church. My wife and I both love to jump in and help get task done as well, which has come in handy in the things God has allowed us to be involved with.
I love to hang out with my kids in different areas of their interests. I caddy for my future golf pro son, go and get coffee and to the book store w/ my oldest daughter and listen to my youngest daughter talk to everyone she meets!
Books that have impacted my life lately are "The Prodigal God" by Timothy Keller and "The Vintage Church" by Mark Driscoll. A Novel that I have just been tuurned on to looks very good as well called "When Crickets Cry," by Charles Martin.
My hope for East North Street Church is to see God glorified by means of us growing, maturing and developing in our intimacy with Him. To let our neighbors, co-workers, family and friends touch, feel and taste of the gospel through us!! To see our people come together for worship of God in a vibrant, transparent way. Let's keep praying for our city!!
Grace,
Steve
